Petroleum and chemical enterprise sewage treatment plant distributed to the atmosphere of pollutants are volatile organic compounds, hydrogen sulfide, organic sulfide, ammonia and so on. Mainly from the total import of sewage treatment plants, grease traps, flotation tanks, biological aeration tank, sludge enrichment tank and sludge dewatering system and organic chemical exhaust gas. With the different sources of pollutants, volatile organic compounds from tens to tens of thousands of mg / m3, hydrogen sulfide, organic sulfide, ammonia from a few to dozens of mg / m3. These substances, low sense of smell, great harm to the human body. Because of its scattered sources, complex components, the concentration difference is large, its thorough and effective management, has always been an important issue in environmental technology research.

In 2015, the state promulgated a new purification gas index, requiring the concentration of pollutants in the purifying gas and the discharge rate to meet the "oil refining industrial pollutant discharge standards" (GB31570-2015), that is less than 4 mg / m3 benzene, toluene less than 15 Mg / m3, xylene less than 20 mg / m3, non-methane total hydrocarbons less than 120 mg / m3.

At the request of the new standard, the Fushun Petrochemical Research Institute developed a new type of catalytic combustion catalyst for WSH-5. In the medium-side lateral test of Zhenhai Refining and Refueling POSM for 2 months, at the reaction temperature of 250 ℃, the space velocity was 28,000 h -1 (single unit operating conditions of existing equipment), the concentration of purified gas pollutants is lower than the national "new standard".
